OPERNHAUS BRATISLAVA/PRESSBURG – DIE ZAUBERFLÖTE at Slowakisches Nationaltheater - Neubau des Nationaltheaters

Hardly any other opera offers so many interesting, diverse and mysterious meanings to its production team and viewers alike. These meanings range from a children´ fairy tale to a mythic parable of hidden philosophic messages. A young production team headed by director Svetozar Sprušanský invites the viewers to an adventurous expedition, in which they unlock Mozart´s masterpiece with a key of children´ fantasy. World-famous arias sung by the younger generation of singers, poetry, humour, colourful costumes and a versatile set will accompany us on our journey to a world where our ideals are more important than the desolate reality of everyday life, a world, in which we can dream and experience all the beautiful and positive emotions.

Mozart´s brilliant work is musically directed by the internationally acclaimed conductor Friedrich Haider.
