In 2009, rock musical Next to Normal exploded onto Broadway and brought a Tony win to Alice Ripley (Sunset Boulevard, The Whos Tommy) and a Tony nomination to J. Robert Spencer (Jersey Boys) for their central roles as a married couple on the brink. In this intimate, specially crafted evening for Savannah Rep hosted by Executive Artistic Director Ryan McCurdy, these two long-time friends and Broadway legends will reunite digitally, bringing stories from their first collaboration on Side Show, the Next to Normal experience, songs from their Broadway catalogs, and original music from their singer-songwriter canons.
