Adam W. Sadberry is shaping a distinctive career with his creativity, vibrancy, and conscious citizenship both on and off stage. A winner of Concert Artists Guild’s 2021 Victor Elmaleh Competition, he has made debuts with Chamber Music Detroit, Newport Classical, Scottsdale Performing Arts, and more. Sadberry made his debut at Merkin Hall in New York City in March 2023. Sadberry presents a program of musical journalism, highlighting the story of his grandfather, Civil Rights journalist L. Alex Wilson, who covered the murder of Emmett Till, the Montgomery Bus Boycott, and the integration of Central High School in Little Rock, Arkansas. The program includes the 2023 commission, not running, by Dameun Strange, highlighting the bravery of his grandfather’s journalism, alongside works by William Grant Still, Valerie Coleman, Coleridge-Taylor Perkinson, and others.
