While most of Atlanta is dreaming of warm spring walks in the park, Center for Puppetry Arts is already thinking ahead to the 2011 holiday season. The Center is currently preparing for the second year of Jon Ludwig's wildly successful adaptation of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. The holiday favorite will return as part of the soon-to-be-announced 2011-12 season, playing November 1 - December 31, 2011.
Free Acting Class at Theatre in the Square

On Saturday, May 7, 2011, Theatre in the Square will open the doors to all youth grades 1-12 who have ever thought they have what it takes to be on stage for a FREE acting class. We will be offering the free one-hour class for youth grades 1-5 at 10 a.m. and for grades 6 -12 at 11:30 a.m.

Behind the green makeup and ogre-worthy costumes will be Eric Petersen, who shared with us a little about his journey to this production, what it's like transforming into an ogre and how the important message of loving yourself can be heard loud and clear in this exciting telling of that well-loved story.
