Cirque du Soleil to Present DRALION at JPJ Arena, 10/22-26

After 15 years performing around the world, Dralion will make its finale curtain call in January 2015. From October 22-26, 2014, Charlottesville will have its final opportunity to experience this unique and colorful Cirque du Soleil signature production that has performed in more than 150 cities. Dralion will be presented at the John Paul Jones Arena for six performances only.

The upcoming Fifth Third Bank Broadway in Atlanta season is set to receive the star treatment during a 30-minute Primetime special on WSB-TV, airing Wednesday, August 27 at 8 p.m. Hosted by Heather Caitlin, the program will offer fans a behind-the-scenes look at the blockbuster lineup coming to the Fox Theatre during the 2014/2015 Broadway in Atlanta series. Featured interviews will include both the stars and creative teams for upcoming productions, as well as Broadway in Atlanta Vice President Russ Belin.

Enthusiastic response to GTA's upcoming Discovery Series show, Half Mile Down, has prompted organizers to move the performances to the Lake Lanier Olympic Venue, 3105 Clarks Bridge Rd., Gainesville. Performances of Half Mile Down, an outdoor comic drama with an original bluegrass score, will be performed at 8:15pm, this weekend, Aug. 15-17, at the new location, which will accommodate a larger crowd and simplify parking for all. Gates open at 6pm preshow picnicking and activities.
