Act3 Productions Presents SIDE SHOW, Now thru 11/23

Act3 Productions presents Side Show, a heart-warming story of two sisters searching for love and fame. Side Show will run tonight, November 7- 23 at Act3 Productions in Sandy Springs. Inspired by the true story of conjoined twins Daisy and Violet Hilton, the musical touches on the universal need for acceptance and the strength of the human spirit. The Tony Award-winning show features book and lyrics by Bill Russell and music by Henry Krieger. Tickets are available at www.act3productions.org.

Directed by Metropolitan Atlanta Theatre Award Winner, Chris Ikner, with music direction by MAT Award-winner Lyn Taylor, the production features International Music & Entertainment Award Nominees, Lauren Cleland (Daisy Hilton) and Sam Weiller (Sound Design and music direction). Side Show follows Daisy and Violet's heartwarming search for first love and acceptance amidst the spectacle of fame and scrutiny under the spotlight. The world of Side Show is set against the backdrop of 1920's and 30's show business that seamlessly blends the worlds of carnival, vaudeville, and Hollywood glamour.

When it opened on Broadway, Side Show was hailed by the New York Times as "A marvel...daring, enthralling, and astonishingly effective", and "a bright and moving musical with poignancy, urgency, and a refreshingly unsentimental honesty that demands attention." This fall, Side Show will return to Broadway for the first time since 1997. The Act3 production marks the first performance of the show on a Sandy Springs stage.
