Photo Flash: Zip Into the Forest with Serenbe's Immersive ROBIN HOOD

Serenbe Playhouse, recipient of the prestigious American Theatre Wing grant, and recently honored with the most Suzi Bass Awards for a musical in Atlanta (Miss Saigon), presents ROBIN HOOD, new adaptation by Rachel Teagle. The show is directed by Broadway's Paul McGill with original music by GRAMMY nominee John Burke. The show opened on June 2nd and runs through August 13th. No tale could be more suited for REBELLION than that of Robin Hood, the story of a renegade knight who abandons his life of comfort for that of an outlaw. But Robin Hood's defection is not in the name of recklessness - he's a man of the people who steals from the rich and gives to the poor. Alongside his band of Merry Men, our hero also chases romance with the lovely Maid Marian.

In this new adaptation by Serenbe collaborator Rachel Teagle and under the direction of Broadway's Paul McGill, characters will fly through Serenbe's magnificent forest on a zip line, redistributing wealth as they go!

Paul McGill has an expansive career that spans performer, choreographer, and director. As a performer, McGill starred in the Broadway revival of A Chorus Line and Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark. On camera, McGill starred opposite Bebe Neuwirth in the remake of Fame and the NBC series SMASH. As a choreographer, McGill worked on the Broadway smash Hedwig and the Angry Itch and the FOX remake of The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Audiences will receive the full Playhouse treatment as the enter Sherwood Forrest. From games, to sword fights, to even having the chance to zip line themselves, everyone from 0 to 100 will join Robin Hood's merry band!

The creative team also includes original music by John Burke, fight choreography by Christen Orr, scenic design by Scott Sargent, costume design by DeeDee Chmielewski and properties design by Stephanie Polhemus.

ROBIN HOOD will feature fresh faces from all across the United States making their Playhouse debuts, including: Jordan Patrick as Robin Hood, Casey Shuler as Marian, Brady Dunn as Little John, Kendra Johnson as Scarlet, Kenny Tran as Sheriff of Nottingham, and Madison Welch as Guard.

Performance times are Fridays and Saturdays at 11am & Sundays at 2pm. Single tickets are on sale now online at www.serenbeplayhouse.com (any time); and by phone at 770-463-1110 (Box Office hours are Tuesday-Saturday, 11am until 4pm).
