The Springer Opera House Presents Roger Bean's ROUTE 66 November 5th - 14th, Columbus, GA. Take a dollop of GREASE, mix in some PUMP BOYS AND DINETTES and add a generous dose of FOREVER PLAID and you've got the pedal-to-the-metal, high-octane fun of Roger Bean's ROUTE 66. Chock full of hilarious characters, wild antics and good old fashioned schtick, this sure-fire crowd-pleaser features hit songs from the late-50's and early-60's: Dead Man's Curve, King of the Road, Little Old Lady from Pasadena, Six Days on the Road, GTO, Fun, Fun, Fun, I Get Around and of course, Route 66.

Directed and choreographed by Kimberly Faith Hickman, the cast features Brian C. Gray, Dylan R. Hauck, Reid Robinson and Casey Ross.

The production will tour nationally with Springer Theatricals, January - May 2010.

Founded in 1871 in Columbus, Georgia, the Springer Opera House is Georgia's official State Theatre and a National Historic Landmark. The world's greatest stage artists have performed with the Springer company including Edwin Booth, Ethel Barrymore, George M. Cohan, Irving Berlin, and Agnes DeMille in the early days and more recently, Mary Martin, Truman Capote, HAl Holbrook, Marvin Hamlisch, Burt Reynolds, Garrison Keilor and Branford Marsailis. Today, the Springer is Georgia's top ranked theatre company with mainstage, studio and children's theatre productions plus an acclaimed theatre academy with more than 700 acting students. The Springer has also been designated as one of "The World's Top Ten Ghostly Destinations" by the Travel Channel for its well-documented supernatural activity.

ROUTE 66 will run November 5th - 14th at the Springer Opera House - Foley Hall, 103 10th Street, Columbus, GA Thursday-Sat @ 7:30 pm, Sunday October 25th @ 2:30 pm. Tickets are $38 full price; $30 for seniors age 55 and older; $23 for military, fireman, and police; and $15 for students. For additional box office information, call 706-327-3688.
