VIDEO: THE SOUND OF MUSIC is Playing Now at Pécsi Nemzeti Színház

The Sound of Music is currently playing at Pécsi Nemzeti Színház's Grand Theatre. Check out the promo clips below!

This production is directed by Kiss Hedi and features Viktória Kulcsár as Maria, Csaba Hüse and Aladár Laklóth sharing the role as Captain Von Trapp, and András Barna, Boglárka Bogos, Júlia Fülöp, Balázs Járfás, Júlia Liza Kosztolányi, Zsombor Kengyel, Nagy Regina Martina, Salla Zsófia Pintér, Viktor Ritter, Éva Tajti, Sárvár, and Wettring Kinga as the Von Trapp children.

The Sound of Music is one that is beloved by all. Set in Austria just around WWII, Maria, a postulant, proves too high spirited for the religious life and is sent to serve as governess for the seven children of widowed naval Captain. Her growing bond with the young children, along with her kindness and spirit, slowly but surely captures the heart of the stern captain.

The Sound of Music features music by Richard Rodgers, lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, book by Howard Lindsay and Russel Crouse, suggested by The Trapp Family Singers by Maria Augusta Trapp. The beloved musical story of Maria and the von Trapp Family will once again thrill audiences with its Tony, Grammy and Academy Award-winning Best Score, including "My Favorite Things," "Edelweiss" and the title song.THE SOUND OF MUSIC enjoyed extraordinary success as a live television production when "The Sound of Music Live!" aired on NBC in December, 2013 and was seen by over 44 million people.
