Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) has just announced that Ghostlight Records (Kurt Deutsch, CoFounder & Album Producer; Lawrence Manchester, Album Co-Producer) will record the cast album of the critically acclaimed, Lortel Award-winning revival of The Robber Bridegroom on Wednesday, June 1, 2016. For more information and to sign-up for updates, visit sh-k-boom.com/robber-bridegroom. The Robber Bridegroom is currently playing a limited engagement through May 29, 2016 at the Laura Pels Theater.

The Robber Bridegroom cast album is made possible, in part, by the generosity of Alfred Uhry and Robert Waldman.

The cast of The Robber Bridegroom includes Andrew Durand, Evan Harrington, Greg Hildreth, Lortel winner Leslie Kritzer, Ahna O'Reilly, Lortel winner Steven Pasquale, Nadia Quinn, Lance Roberts and Devere Rogers.

Directed by Alex Timbers and choreographed by Connor Gallagher, with music direction by Justin Levine, Roundabout Theatre Company's revival of The Robber Bridegroom is produced in association with Daryl Roth, and includes book & lyrics by Alfred Uhry, music by Robert Waldman and orchestrations by Justin Levine & Martin Lowe. The design team includes Donyale Werle (Sets), Emily Rebholz (Costumes), Jake DeGroot & Jeff Croiter (Lighting), Darron L West & Charles Coes (Sound), Leah Loukas (Wig & Make-Up), Jacob Grigolia-Rosenbaum (Fight Director) and John Miller (Music Coordinator).

Roundabout Theatre Company's production of The Robber Bridegroom is the recipient of three 2016 Lucille Lortel Awards, for Outstanding Revival, Outstanding Lead Actor in a Musical (Steven Pasquale) and Outstanding Featured Actress in a Musical (Leslie Kritzer).

Based on the short story by beloved Southern writer Eudora Welty, The Robber Bridegroom transports the audience to the Natchez Trace in Mississippi, a dangerous and mysterious corner of the country teeming with a rogue's gallery of the most beguiling con men, hucksters, and charlatans you'll ever meet. Chief among them, Jamie Lockhart (Pasquale)-fair-faced gentleman by day, hard-hearted bandit of the woods by night. When he falls for the beautiful daughter of a wealthy planter, his world and code of ethics are turned upside down.

A Southern-fried celebration of American myth-making as well as the art of making theatre, The Robber Bridegroom is an irreverent, thrilling, jubilant musical comedy pulsing with life and imagination.

The Robber Bridegroom benefits from Roundabout's Musical Theatre Fund with lead gifts from The Howard Gilman Foundation and Perry and Marty Granoff.

Roundabout's 50th anniversary season in 2015-2016 includes: Laura Benanti, Zachary Levi, Gavin Creel, Byron Jennings, Tom McGowan and Jane Krakowski in She Loves Me by Joe Masteroff, Sheldon Harnick and Jerry Bock, directed by Scott Ellis; Steven Pasquale in The Robber Bridegroom by Alfred Uhry and Robert Waldman, directed by Alex Timbers; Jessica Lange, Gabriel Byrne, Michael Shannon and John Gallagher, Jr. in Long Day's Journey Into Night by Eugene O'Neill, directed by Jonathan Kent; and the national tour of Sam Mendes & Rob Marshall's Tony Award-winning production of Cabaret.
