THE LITTLE RED LIGHTHOUSE AND THE GREAT GRAY BRIDGE -- A NEW MUSICAL by Jessica Ann Carp will have a developmental reading on Friday, June 17th at 5:15pm at the Dramatists Guild Fund. Please email CarpAssistant@gmail.com for invitation requests.

This new musical is adapted from the 1942 children's book of the same title, by Hildegrade H. Swift and Lynd Ward. This timeless classic tells the story of the Little Red Lighthouse who felt important and useful until the Great Gray Bridge (based on the George Washington Bridge) was built. Then he felt very, very small and no longer needed. The Great Gray Bridge explains, "Each to his own place little brother!" urging the Little Red Lighthouse to see that everyone, no matter how small, has a purpose.

With musical direction by Patrick Sulken, the cast includes Brian Childers as the Man/Narrator, William Mulligan as the Little Red Lighthouse, Jessica Ann Carp as the Great Gray Bridge, Michal Salonia as the Fat Black Tug, Kimberly Faye Greenberg as the Slender Canoe, and Bret Shuford as the Big Steamer.
