As the first production of their 15th Anniversary Season, Rising Sun Performance Company is pleased to announce that they will be presenting the World Premiere of SPRUCEHAVEN B, directed by Rising Sun's Artistic Director Akia, as part of the 10th Annual FRIGID Festival. The festival will take place February 15th through March 6th at The Kraine Theater & UNDER St. Marks.

Sprucehaven B is a gripping and dark psychological thriller that promises to keep audiences on the edge of their seats.

This is Rising Sun Performance Company's 5th year of inclusion in the FRIGID Festival. Last year RSP produced "ERIK" to sold out houses, an extended run and was published by Indie Theatre Now and Next Stage Press. Coming off their hit run of "The Firebird" at Planet Connections Theatre Festival last year, RSP returns to FRIGID in 2016 with a tale of heartbreak, madness, and horror. Isabel's world is forever altered over the course of two nights separated by decades in a desolate Maine cabin. If only she could hear three little words.

Mark Cornell's One Act play "Tell Me You Love Me" was originally produced and developed with RSP as a part of their 2012 site-specific production "Hotel Suite". The story has now expanded into the full-length play "Sprucehaven B", and explores the journey of Isabel, a woman who has experienced a lifetime of loss and trauma all happening in the same cabin in the woods.

Sprucehaven B has a critically acclaimed cast & creative team with notable Broadway, Off Broadway & Indie Theatre Credits. The cast features the talents of RSP's award winning ensemble and guest artists Elizabeth Burke (Hellcab, Donkey), Tucker Bryan (The Field), Richie Abanes*(Dreamgirls on Broadway), Samantha Turret & Ari Veach. The Creative Team of Sprucehaven B includes Jak Prince who received rave reviews for his design of the 2010 smash hit "Last Supper" and won Outstanding Set Design for "DONKEY" at Planet Connections Theatre Festival, Sound Design by Tom King , and Costume Design by Emily Abma. Monica Blaze Leavitt's Fight Direction has been seen in The Royal Shakespeare Company's Broadway production of The Herbal Bed.
