The 22ND ANNUAL BROADWAY FLEA MARKET & GRAND AUCTION was held this Sunday, September 21 from 10 AM - 7 PM in Shubert Alley (225 West 45th Street). Celebrities of theater and daytime television came out to show their support such as: Laura Benanti (Gypsy), Kerry Butler (Xanadu), Mario Cantone ("Sex & The City"), Melissa Claire Egan ("All My Children"), Bailey Hanks (Legally Blonde), Van Hansis & Jake Silbermann ("As The World Turns"), Christian Hoff (Jersey Boys, Pal Joey), Aaron Lazar (A Tale of Two Cities), Beth Leavel (Young Frankenstein), Priscilla Lopez (In The Heights), Bebe Neuwirth (Chicago), Chris March ("Project Runway"), Lynn Redgrave (Grace, Georgy Girl), as well as cast members from In The Heights and [title of show].
As in previous years, Broadway and daytime fans had the opportunity to get their photo taken with various celebrities at the Celebrity Photo Booths.
Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS (BC/EFA) is the nation's leading industry-based, nonprofit AIDS fund raising and grant making organization. BC/EFA is the on-going, committed response from the American theater community to an urgent worldwide health crisis. By drawing upon the talents, resources and generosity of this community, BC/EFA raises funds for AIDS-related causes across the United States. Since it's founding in 1988, BC/EFA has raised over $140 million for critically needed services for people with AIDS, HIV, or HIV-related illnesses.
