More than 400 guests joined Olympians and stars of stage and screen to show their support for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) students at the annual Point Honors gala the landmark New York Public Library last night. The evening celebrated the accomplishments of Point Foundation's (Point), higher education scholarship recipients. More than $500,000 was raised for Point, the nation's largest scholarship-granting organization for LGBTQ students of merit.

Broadway in Bryan Park continued its 2015 program on Thursday - and BroadwayWorld was on hand to capture the first day. Yesterday March 26th, Tim Federle, author of Better Nate Than Ever, interviewed the 19 year old author, Henry Hodges, who wrote 'How To Act Like a Kid,' at the Drama Book Shop. Hosted by Sir Ian McKellen, last night, November 1, the Only Make Believe Gala featured a number of performances including the casts of Memphis, the Cast of Billy Elliot: The Musical, and others. On Tuesday, November 11th, Macy's and Marc Ecko presented the 2008 Emery Awards at Cipriani 42nd St. This year's awards honored those who have worked to support LGBT youth, and featured a special performance by Cheyenne Jackson, star of Broadway's XANADU, ALL SHOOK UP and AIDA.
