Megan Mullally, Nick Offerman Cancel Indiana Appearance to Protest Religious Freedom Law

Breitbart.com reports that talented married couple Megan Mullally and Nick Offerman have joined a growing list of entertainers who are standing up against Indiana's recent religious freedom law, by canceling their upcoming appearance in the state.

The couple was scheduled to perform in Indiana as part of their "Summer of 69: No Apostrophe" comedy tour.

Offerman tweeted: "Congrats @GovPenceIN WE ARE CANCELING Indiana Summer of 69 tour 5/16. I WILL PLAY @IndianaUniv this Weds and donate my $ to HRC. #Usuck"

He also tweeted: "It's ok to b ignorant. It's human. I'm certainly ignorant. If you think IN RFRA is the same as 19 other states, you're quite ignorant."

Offerman will still perform solo tonight at Indiana University but will donate the money he earns to the Human Rights Campaign, which lobbies for LGBT rights.

Nick Offerman is best known for his role as Ron Swanson on NBC's critically acclaimed Parks and Recreation, Nick Offerman's humor has made him a fixture in television culture. On the Emmy-nominated Parks and Recreation, Offerman plays the masculine director of a parks and recreation department in small-town Indiana. Working alongside the ensemble cast of Amy Poehler, Rashida Jones, Adam Scott, Aubrey Plaza, Chris Pratt, AZIZ ANSARI, and Rob Lowe, Offerman's role has developed a cult following. Offerman was a founding member of the Defiant Theatre in Chicago. He worked extensively at Steppenwolf, The Goodman, Wisdom Bridge and Pegasus Players, among many others. Off-Broadway credits include Adding Machine at The Minetta Lane Theater. In Los Angeles, he is a company member of Evidence Room Theater Company, where he has appeared in many plays. He is also the recipient of the Joseph Jefferson Citation Award for his performance in The Kentucky Cycle by Robert Schenkkan at Chicago's Pegasus Players Theatre.
