On Thursday, June 1st, Broadway buffs will get a shot to earn their spot on the red carpet at this year's Tony Awards. In celebration of this season's productions, Macy's Herald Square is hosting the singing competition "Sing for Your Tickets." The event will take place from 5 to 7 PM at Macy's Fragrance Arcade on the main floor.

"Sing for Your Tickets" will be judged by a panel including Christopher Sieber (Spamalot), Greg Sturh and Lisa Howard (both of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee). The participants will be able to sing one of eight selected songs from Tony Award-winning musicals for the chance to win Tony tickets, as well as lunch, red carpe-worthy fashions and transportation to the awards. The Hilton Family of Hotels will supply hotel accomodation.

The 60th Annual Tony Awards will be broadcast on CBS from Radio City Music Hall in New York City on Sunday, June 11th. Sixty stars--including Chita Rivera, Julia Roberts, Ralph Fiennes, Bernadette Peters and Oprah Winfrey--will serve as presenters and co-hosts.
