Lynn Redgrave, who currently appears as Mrs. Culver in the Roundabout Theatre Company's production of The Constant Wife, can now be heard on the American Theatre Wing/XM
satellite radio's online Downstage Center program. With interviews by Howard Sherman and John von Soosten, Downstage Center is a weekly
theatrical interview show sponsored by the American Theater Wing featuring the
top artists working in theatre both on and Off-Broadway and around the
country. The Constant Wife opened June 16th at the American Airlines Theatre (227 W. 42nd Street),
and will play a recently-extended limited run through August 21st. Directed by Mark
Brokaw, the show also stars Michael Cumpsty as John Middleton, John
Dossett as Bernard Kersal and Enid Graham as Martha.
The Constant Wife
is a social comedy of marital maneuvers in 1920s upper-class London.
Constance Middleton discovers that her husband is having an affair with
her best friend. Rather than humiliating herself and others, she denies
the affair, defends the two, and sets about turning bad luck,
unfaithful friends, local gossip and a broken heart to her own
