Joanna Gleason Renews with Dirty Rotten Scoundrels

The Dirty Rotten Producers are proud to announce that it's Tony Award-nominated star, Joanna Gleason, has extended her contract, and will continue with the hit show into 2006.

The Tony Award-winning Ms. Gleason, returned to New York theater in the 2004 production of The Normal Heart, made her return to Broadway in the Jeffrey Lane / David Yazbek musical (after a fourteen-year absence), was Tony nominated for her role as 'Muriel Eubanks of Omaha, Nebraska'. She also received Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Award nominations for this performance.

Ms. Gleason is also currently filming The Pleasure of Your Company for Greenstreet Productions, starring Jason Biggs, Isla Fisher, Michael Westin, Joe Pantoliono, Ed Hermann and Margo Martindale.

Upon re-signing her contract, Ms. Gleason commented, "I have been involved with this show for two years come February, and it's still a joy. The audiences are still on their feet, and gratefully, so am I."

DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS won the 2005 Drama League Award as Best Musical, and was nominated for 11 Tony Awards. With a book by Jeffrey Lane and music and lyrics by David Yazbek (The Full Monty) DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS stars John Lithgow, Norbert Leo Butz, Sherie Rene Scott, Gregory Jbara and Sara Gettelfinger. The production is directed by two-time Tony Award winner Jack O'Brien and choreographed by Tony Award-winner Jerry Mitchell.

As previously announced, two-time Tony Award-winner, Jonathan Pryce, succeeds Mr. Lithgow on January 17, 2006.
