I am excited to announce that we will produce a one-night-only special benefit reading of the Steinberg Center's inaugural production, Intimate Apparel by Lynn Nottage. Daniel Sullivan will return to direct this reading on June 15 at the Laura Pels Theatre.

All of the original cast members from the 2004 production will be included: Viola Davis(Esther), Arija Bareikis (Mrs. Van Buren),Lynda Gravátt (Mrs. Dickson), Russell Hornsby (George), Corey Stoll (Mr. Marks), and Lauren Velez (Mayme). It is truly an honor to bring back so many members of the Roundabout Family to revisit this incredible production.

Intimate Apparel holds a special place in Roundabout's history. This award-winning production opened the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre as an Off-Broadway home for new work, premiering 18 new shows in 10 years and expanding that mission to the Black Box for the creation of Roundabout Underground.

I am so proud of this play and the legacy it has created for Roundabout, and I am thrilled to have Lynn's work back at the Laura Pels Theatre. For more information and tickets please visit our website.
