Jim Caruso's Cast Party and TheaterMania.com, announced the Jeremy Schonfeld OFFICIAL CD RELEASE PARTY FOR 37 NOTEBOOKS Monday, May 5, 2008 at 7:00pm, as part of the long-running, critically-heralded and popular concert series Broadway at Birdland.

37 Notebooks features some of Broadway's hottest vocal talents, many of whom will be onstage with Schonfeld to celebrate the album's release, including:  Luther Creek ("Flight of the Conchords"); Julie Danao-Salkin ("Lennon"); Jarrod Emick (Tony Award Winner for "Damn Yankees");  Donnie Kehr ("Jersey Boys"); Lauren Kennedy ("Spamalot"); Kate Shindle ("Legally Blonde");  Amy Spanger ("Kiss Me, Kate");  Tracie Thoms ("Rent: The Movie");  and Natalie Weiss (American Idol).   Also contributing to the album are:  Shoshana Bean ("Wicked"); Julia Murney ("Wicked"); and Adam Pascal ("Rent").

All ticket holders will receive a copy of the album, with a CD signing to occur after the concert.  A portion of the proceeds from the album will benefit the Broadway Dreams Foundation (www.mybroadwaydreams.com).

Hailed by The New York Times as a blend of Jonathan Larson and Billy Joel, Schonfeld's singular blend of tuneful pop, hard-edged rock, gospel, soul and blues has made him one of today's most sought after singer/songwriter talents and musical theater composers. Smart and contemporary with intelligent lyrics, Schonfeld attended the Berklee College of Music and participated in the BMI Lehman-Engel Musical Theater Workshop.

As a solo performer, Schonfeld's recent engagements include Joe's Pub, BB King's; Birdland; ArsNova; Lincoln Center; Juilliard Opera Theater; Symphony Space; CBGBs; Southpaw; The Zipper Theater; and opening for James Taylor

Schonfeld recently completed work as both a performer and composer/lyricist on the feature film Clear Blue Tuesday, which traces the journey of eleven artists in post 9/11 New York through a montage of songs and scenes.  He is also the music director and guest performer (along with Laura Bell Bundy, Gavin Creel, Daphne Rubin-Vega, Jenn Gambatese, and Norm Lewis, among others) for Broadway Bootcamp, a weeklong workshop that culminates in a concert event.
