The Second Annual Theater Fans' Choice Awards (/vote.cfm) – the online award program that lets the audience decide who and what was the best in the 2003/4 New York theater season – will be running until June 6, 2004. Unlike other awards, entries in the Theater Fans' Choice Awards are voted on by members of the theater community including fans and industry professionals. There are over 250 actors, actresses, creative teams and shows nominated categories including Best Book of a Musical, Best Choreography, Best Costumes, Best Direction of a Play/Musical, Best Featured Actor/Actress in a Musical/Play, Best Leading Actor/Actress in a Musical/Play, Best Lighting, Best Musical, Best Orchestrations, Best Score, Best Play, Best Revival of a Musical/Play, and Best Scenic Design.Â
The new Broadway Web Directory, featuring nearly 1,000 sites covering theaters, performers, professionals, and related companies launched in April of 2004 and is already being used a valuable resource by visitors to the site. All web sites in the directory are verified, and indexed by category, as well as completely searchable.
