Broadway Babysitters announces the opening of their first Audition Drop-off Center in Midtown Manhattan at Pearl Studios, 520 8th Avenue. Broadway Babysitters is a childcare provider created to not only meet the needs of the families in New York City, but to also serve the performing artist community and their families. The new Audition Drop-off Center will be offering an Open House on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 from 11am-1pm so that actor-parents can have a sneak peek of what the service will entail. The Audition Drop-off Center will be followed by the opening of the Broadway Babysitters Babysitting Agency which is set to launch in the Spring of 2016.

Created by artists, Broadway Babysitters vows to be a reliable support system for parents who are also performers. Co-founders Vasthy Mompoint (Rocky) and Jen Malenke (Into the Woods) are seasoned Broadway performers who understand the critical need for adequate childcare in their own community. "We have seen our fellow performers with children struggle to maintain their careers, and we felt we could provide a service that could not only make their lives easier, but also help keep their dreams alive," says Vasthy.

The Drop-off Center is a fully equipped childcare center open that will be open 5 days a week and will be able to house 15 children per hour while the parent is at an audition. All staff is referral only, CPR trained, and have passed background checks. In addition, the Broadway Babysitters Agency will also include staff trained in providing in-home care for special needs children. The Broadway Babysitters staff is comprised of a unique group of professional artists, actors, and dancers, who will provide creative and active care for a list of referral only clients. Not only will these talented sitters look after all the basic needs of the children, but they will also spend constructive time teaching lessons/classes based on their own creative backgrounds while they are babysitting if desired.

Broadway Babysitters is proud to have received a grant from Career Transition for Dancers, a subsidiary of the Actors Fund, and raised over $10,000 in private funds through GoFundMe. The cost of the program to actor-parents is 3 hour drop-off session for $24.99, along with a $3.99 per month subscription. Parents can sign up for care through the website. Prices for the agency will be announced at a later date but will include 3 different options for membership.

Broadway Babysitters' goal is to eventually open a Non-Profit as an umbrella company to the agency.

"We would love to have our own space and open a Broadway Daycare Center for Broadway performers that offers free childcare for qualifying families who struggle to make ends meet."

Broadway Babysitters was formed because of our love for children, our love of art, and our love for the NYC artistic community. Our goal is to not only provide families with exceptional childcare, but to administer a unique and specialized service to New York City families, and hopefully beyond in the future. We believe that childcare should be a fun, engaging, and personalized experience which promotes growth and individuality while helping our fellow actors stay employed between shows. Our motto is "Less screen time, more play time."
