Billy Porter, whose recently-released CD At the Corner of Broadway and Soul combines "sultry grooves and Broadway artistry," will perform tracks from the album at Joe's Pub (425 Lafayette St.) on November 28th at 7:30 PM and 9:30 PM.

Available on the Sh-K-Boom label, At the Corner of Broadway and Soul features Porter's interpretations of songs by musical theatre composers (Stephen Sondheim's "Last Midnight" and "Sunday," Adam Guettel's "Awaiting You," Jeanine Tesori's "Let It Sing," Jason Robert Brown's "King of the World") as well as his own musical compositions and collaborations.

Porter's Broadway credits include the original casts of Miss Saigon, Five Guys Named Moe and Grease (the 1994 revival), as well as Smokey Joes Café and Dreamgirls (20th Anniversary Broadway Concert and Los Angeles production). Off-Broadway and regionally, he has appeared in Birdie Blue, Romance In Hard Times, The Merchant of Venice, House of Lear, Radiant Baby (all at The Public), Jason Robert Brown's Songs for a New World, Angels in America (Actors Theatre of Louisville), Going Native (Long Wharf), Topdog/Underdog (City Theatre), Jesus Christ Superstar, Antigone, A Chorus Line, and Chicago. In addition to his first album, Billy Porter: Untitled (A&M Records), Porter has contributed tracks to Home for the Holidays and Jim Brickman's Destiny (Top-ten AC hit).

Tickets, which are $25, can be ordered by calling (212) 239-6200 or by visiting www.telecharge.com. Visit www.joespub.com for more information.
