Alfred Angelo, America's oldest and largest family-owned and operated bridal company, has increased its presence in Europe by opening new offices in France and The Netherlands, and moving its UK location to a larger facility in Harrogate.

Along with this expansion, the company has hired team members in Europe and the U.S., including several customer service representatives and new Vice President of Marketing, Andrew Georgiou.

Georgiou, a 20-year marketing veteran who formerly worked for The Walt Disney Company, will lead strategic development and execution of global marketing efforts across retail and wholesale sales channels. He will oversee the company's creative, advertising, digital, social media and public relations divisions.

"We've spent the past several months growing our staff so we can give our European stockists the very best service and attention possible," said Alfred Angelo President Paul Quentel. "With our new teams and facilities in place, we've tripled our presence in Europe and the UK, and we're invested in continuing this growth."

Harrogate will house the largest office in Europe. Led by Vice President Richard Lill, who celebrates two decades in the bridal industry this year, the new UK customer service team includes:

  • Kirsty Voce, director of UK operations & customer service
  • Elizabeth Turner, credit manager AICM
  • Emily Weston, customer service manager
  • Anita Jackson, customer account administrator
  • James McKenna, customer relationship manager, Northern UK & Northern Ireland
  • Hannah Jenkins, customer relationship manager, Southern UK & Eire

Lill's team will be launching a new bridal collection specifically designed for the European market. The European and Private Collections are chic, sophisticated bridal lines inspired by 1940s and early-1950s Parisian glamour.

"Our new collections pay homage to vintage European glamour and elegance," Lill said. "You'll see a lot of emphasis on the structure of the body with fit-and-flare dresses that highlight the natural waist, and body-hugging designs with sheer backs and beautifully crafted beadwork. Both collections include unique fabric combinations and unexpected flourishes such as oversized buttons and soft lace trim."

The European and Private Collections join Alfred Angelo's popular lines: The Alfred Angelo Collection, Modern Vintage by Alfred Angelo, the Alfred Angelo Sapphire Collection, and the Disney Fairy Tale Weddings by Alfred Angelo Collection.

"There are big things in store for Alfred Angelo's European business," Lill said. "With new resources now in place, we can roll out partnerships, services and activities we've been planning for some time. This year is sure to be the most exciting one yet."
