Following the recent release of the Original Cast Recording of Brunger & Cleary's new musical PRODIGY, Auburn Jam Records and the National Youth Music Theatre have just released a music video of the behind-the-scenes recording of 'Say It In Song,' the finale of the show, to celebrate its chart success. The album rocketed up the iTunes charts within 24hrs of release to reach #4 in the soundtrack chart and #85 in the main album chart. Check it out below!

Prodigy was commissioned and developed by NYMT for its premiere production at The St James Theatre in August 2015. Writers Jake Brunger and Pippa Cleary, the team behind the acclaimed Leicester Curve production of The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole, have been lauded by The Stage as "One of musical theatre's most dynamic writing partnerships". They developed the piece closely with director Kate Golledge, Musical Director Candida Caldicot and the cast of 27 young people between the ages of 11-23, from all over the UK, more than half of whom perform in actor-musician roles.

The story follows the backstage drama of teenage hormones and parental pressure, when five finalists gather to compete to be Britain's best new classical music star. With a live televised final looming, emotions run high and we witness everything from bitter vendettas to unexpected romance, to find out which of the competitors will rise to the top and be crowned the winner.

Following the success of this original production, the complete cast and creative team reunited this year, joining forces with Associate Producer Richard Jones, Music Producers Auburn Jam Music and their independent label Auburn Jam Records, to capture the original show on record. The album was released on Monday 25th July 2016.

CDs are available to purchase at prodigy.auburnjam.co.uk, and digital copies are available to download via iTunes and all other major online retailers.
