Nothing ruins the high of a successful second run of House of Laureen's Fringe hit Backdoor Queens like being stood up by a long-lost friend. Uma Gahd presents her one-woman drag comedy! Small talk, big issues: fame, family, feminism, and failed marriages!

Acclaimed as a must-see show by: Montreal Gazette, Cult MTL, Curtains Up, and Seven Days.

With two fringe successes under their belt, and a reprise of their latest show Backdoor Queens at the Centaur Theatre WILDSIDE Festival 2017, the award winning House of Laureen now presents the musings of one of their founding members: Uma Gahd! A witty comedy making small talk of big issues. It premiered at the 2017 Montreal Fringe Festival and was showcased at the Best of Fringe show for 2017 Montreal Zoofest.

House of Laureen, originally a rag-tag bunch of misfit drag queens who cobbled together the surprising smash Montreal Fringe hit Laureen: Queen of the Tundra, which explored Canadian identity, drag, gender, and politics, all wrapped up in an unapologetic roasting of then-First Lady of Canada, Laureen Harper. Now, a drag Production Company extraordinaire that also hosts a monthly drag cabaret at Cafe Cleopatre Cabaret, where they are the resident drag artists. Uma Gahd, everybody's favourite unofficial auntie, is the character creation of drag artist Ryan Sauvé. She is Miss Congeniality of Drag Moi 2016, social media starlet and correspondent for Montreal's Bagel Burlesque Expo as well as for Montreal Fringe, and a renowned hilarious hostess for events ranging from nightlife (Cabaret Mado, Bar Le Cocktail, The Wiggle Room), to fabulous early morning brunches (Café O' Lait, Bagel Burlesque Expo). Most recently, she has also performed as part of Illusion 2017 and the Just for Laughs Festival.

And remember folks; Gahd loves you!
