Alex Mustakas, Artistic Director of Drayton Entertainment, has unveiled an ambitious 2014 Season playbill that will span 10 months over 7 stages throughout the province of Ontario.

From chart-busting Broadway hits to spectacular kid-friendly shows, exhilarating musical tributes to laugh-out-loud comedies, and some dramatic murder mysteries, there is something for everyone on stage from March through December next year.

"With the tremendous success of our inaugural season in Cambridge, and the final components of our capital renovations at other theatres now complete, we are excited to build on our strong foundation and expand the unique Drayton Experience in 2014 to new audiences," says Mustakas.

A key element of the 2014 Season is a major Broadway musical, which due to a strict licensing agreement, will not be disclosed until 2014.

"The mystery and speculation has definitely created intrigue," he says.

Tickets are on sale now exclusively to Members and Groups, followed by Subscribers in November and the public at the end of the year.

Dunfield Theatre Cambridge

The 2014 Season commences with the fun-filled rock 'n roll revue, Twist and Shout: The British Invasion. Featuring classic songs by The Beatles, The Hollies, and The Rolling Stones, this irresistible piece of 60s nostalgia will rock the stage March 5th to April 28th.

Next up, audiences will be doubled over with the outrageous British farce Run For Your Wife, April 16th to May 4th. An unfortunate event threatens to reveal a cabbie's double life in this uproarious Ray Cooney romp.

The aforementioned yet-to-be-announced production is on stage June 11th to August 2nd. A passion project for Mustakas, the Broadway musical is believed to be among the most ambitious in the organization's history.

The hilarious comedy Boeing-Boeing jets into Cambridge August 13th to August 31st. A Parisian bachelor's love life soars to new heights when his three fiancées, each a beautiful airline hostess, land in his apartment at the same time.

David Rogers, regarded as Canada's most accomplished leading man and one of the original stars of The Phantom of the Opera, honours the legendary heroes of Camelot, Fiddler on the Roof, Oklahoma!, Man of La Mancha, and more in Broadway Heroes, October 1st to October 18th.

The Season ends with a splashy Broadway spectacle for the entire family, with Drayton Entertainment's production of Disney's The Little Mermaid on stage November 19th to December 21st.

St. Jacobs Country Playhouse

A couple's dream of solitude in an old country farmhouse quickly becomes a nightmare when they learn about a resident ghost in the original comedy thriller, I'll Be Back Before Midnight. Laugh-out-loud funny and scream-out-loud scary, this spooky murder mystery is guaranteed to thrill with its genuine, bloodcurdling frights March 12th to March 30th.

Legally Blonde, the blockbuster motion picture, arrives on stage as a fun and frothy musical comedy. Nominated for seven Tony Awards, including Best Musical, this ridiculously peppy and playful tale of female empowerment will totally entertain. April 23rd to May 18th.

The Affections of May is a light-hearted look at life-after-marriage that will warm your heart and tickle your funny bone. Norm Foster's love triangle of laughs runs June 4th to June 22nd.

Take a trip down memory lane with Wichita Lineman from July 16th to August 2nd. Featuring the songs of pop and country music legend Glen Campbell and friends from "The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour" Television, this rousing musical tribute is a surefire crowd-pleaser.

On stage October 8th to November 2nd, Footloose, based on the beloved 80s movie, is the feel-good story about a young rebel who inadvertently heals the heart of a small town when he encourages the local youth to defy the rules and hold a rock 'n roll party.

The holidays will sparkle with Snow White, a deliciously entertaining production for the entire family on stage November 19th to December 21st. In the British Panto tradition where audiences cheer the hero and boo the villain, this lively production boasts incredible musical numbers, slapstick comedy, audience participation, and of course, a dash of theatrical magic.

St. Jacobs Schoolhouse Theatre

The memories of a legendary performer, her tumultuous life and remarkable career are celebrated in the inspiring musical A Closer Walk With Patsy Cline, on stage August 5th to December 21st. Journey through Patsy's triumphs and tragedies in this rousing production that contains 21 of her greatest hits including "Crazy," "Sweet Dreams," "Walkin' After Midnight," "I Fall to Pieces," and many more.

Drayton Festival Theatre

First on the playbill is the musical masterpiece, South Pacific. Featuring the iconic score by Rodgers & Hammerstein, this epic love story about a spunky Navy nurse and mysterious French planter reveals the stark realities of prejudice and a world at war. This show of rare enchantment runs May 14th to May 31st.

The mind-bending thriller Deathtrap runs June 4th to June 21st. A chilling tale unfolds when a faded writer concocts a plan to steal a brilliant murder mystery from one of his promising students.

The hilarious spy comedy Look, No Hans! is on stage July 2nd to July 19th. A secret agent's plans for a quiet birthday go out the window (along with several of his guests) when his carefully crafted cover is threatened.

The Drayton Festival Theatre rolls out the red carpet for its final production of the season as world-class performers with golden voices celebrate the greatest musical moments from the silver screen in Hollywood Sings, a joyous musical revue August 5th to August 23rd.
