Nightwood Theatre is proud to present the sixth annual Lawyer Show. Co-directed by Nightwood's Artistic Director Kelly Thornton and Associate Artistic Director Michelle Alexander, supported by a team of professional coaches, designers, and crew, this unique event sees a cast of 36 lawyers take the stage to perform Love's Labour's Lost.

Shakespeare's zany masterpiece of wit Love's Labour's Lost is the story of King Ferdinand and his three gentlemen who have sworn off women for three years of study, until the Princess and her three ladies come to the court... Will their vow be forsworn or will love overcome?

As a registered charitable organization, Nightwood forges creative alliances among women artists from diverse backgrounds in order to develop and produce provocative Canadian Theatre. Nightwood is thrilled to partner with Toronto's legal community on this annual fundraising initiative. The vital funds raised through ticket sales, sponsorships, ad sales, and silent auction go directly toward enhancing Nightwood's productions, mentorship initiatives, and training programs.

As Canada's national women's theatre since 1979, Nightwood has launched the careers of countless leading theatre artists in the country. As recipients of Canada's highest literary and performing arts awards, our success proves the need for theatre that gives voice to women and celebrates the diversity of Canadian society. We remain actively engaged in mentoring young women and promoting women's place on the local, national and international stage.
