Internationally acclaimed, award-winning musical Mickey & Judy, currently earning rave reviews at the London Ontario Fringe Festival, will pay tribute to the actress Judy Garland on what would have been her 94th Birthday (Friday, June 10).

Mickey & Judy is a Canadian Comedy Award nominated one-person musical that celebrates the positive impact of Judy Garland on creator/star Michael Hughes' life. Chockfull of comical anecdotes about a childhood spent dressing up and channeling Judy Garland, dramatic readings from his psychologist's notes, and a musical score that borrows from Broadway classics and the Judy Garland songbook, Mickey & Judy is about learning to accept who you are and following your dreams.

Mickey & Judy debuted at the Toronto Fringe Festival where it was named "Best of Fringe" (Broadway World Toronto, My Theatre Award, and Canadian Comedy Award nominations). The following year, the show toured to Edinburgh, London and New York City, along the way receiving five-star reviews, multiple award nominations (Broadway World New York, MTM: UK Awards), and the New York City Bistro Award for Outstanding Debut. Mickey & Judy has been named "Critic's Pick" by the Toronto Star, Time Out New York, NOW Magazine, SG Fringe Magazine, GT Magazine and FAB Magazine.

New York City Bistro Award winner, Michael Hughes has performed on stages around the world from London to Tokyo, Edinburgh to New York City. A sought after cabaret and concert performer, he was the guest of 16-time Grammy award winner David Foster on his highly successful sold-out arena tour, David Foster & Friends. He has performed in musicals across Canada and will return to the Thousand Islands Playhouse this summer to play Rapunzel's Prince in Into The Woods. The special birthday performance of Mickey & Judy will take place on Friday, June 10th at 6:30pm at Procunier Hall (inside the Palace Theatre, 710 Dundas Street, London, ON). Tickets are $12.50 in advance (londonfringe.ca) and $14 at the door. Rainbow Cupcakes (a nod to Garland's Over The Rainbow) will be provided.

For those unable to attend the performance on Friday, the finale will be streamed on FACEBOOK LIVE beginning around 7:10pm. You can find it by searching #mickeyandjudylive in your Facebook search bar.
