FST Extends OVER THE RIVER AND THROUGH THE WOODS

Held over by popular demand, Over the River and Through the Woods is now playing through August 16. Described by the Sarasota Herald-Tribune as a "Sweet spot of love, caring, and humor," this witty, warm-hearted production reminds audiences about the importance of family along with a few funny Italian family traditions. Director Kate Alexander shares her passion for family-centered comedy of all cultures stating, "It's funny, searing, and ultimately so very true. I love this play. I love it not only because I laugh and see my Greek heritage, (I even put a 1925 photo of my immigrant Greek Yia Yia on the set!), but because we see ALL families in it."

Filled with matchmaking grandparents, never-ending leftovers, and the unbreakable bonds of the Cristano family, DiPietro creates a deeply honest drama that reaches the heart of every generation, young and old.
