New York Magazine is reporting that Robin Wright has pulled out of Broadway's TALLEY'S FOLLY. Reportedly, her would-be co-star Richard Schiff reportedly told the mag yesterday at fashion week: 'Robin just had to drop out right now for personal reasons.' Undeterred, Schiff has been hard at work trying to recruit Sally Hawkins, currently starring in Mrs. Warren's Profession. He says of his efforts: 'I'm trying to convince her to do Talley's Folly. During the holiday season Performance Network Theatre presents a new take on the larger than life Broadway musical "Jerry's Girls", a revue of the work of Jerry Herman who wrote the music for shows such as "Hello, Dolly!", "La Cage Aux Folles", and "Mame". "Jerry's Girls" is directed by Carla Milarch and stars an all female cast including award-winning musical theatre actress, Naz Edwards, from November 14 - January 5, 2014 as well as a special New Year's Eve performance followed by a champagne toast at midnight. "My Name is Asher Lev" adapted by Aaron Posner from the novel by Chaim Potok is the narrative of a young Jewish boy who lives in Brooklyn with his extremely orthodox family as he travels through time, reliving his journey as a painter and the struggles it presented within his family. A proud co-production with Performance Network Theatre in Ann Arbor and the Jewish Ensemble Theatre (JET) in West Bloomfield, "My Name is Asher Lev" received rave reviews from critics at the JET in April. The performances in West Bloomfield were so successful that the JET extended the run through June. "My Name is Asher Lev" is now coming to Performance Network Theatre on August 8 through September 8 starring Naz Edwards, Mitchell Koory, and John Seibert.
