It has been officially announced today that Nigel Lindsay will join the West End cast of GUYS AND DOLLS for a limited time, playing Nathan Detroit in the Phoenix Theatre production May 26-June 26. He takes over from Richard Kind, whose last performance is May 22. Lindsay last played the role in the West End run of Michael Grandage's 2005 Donmar Warehouse production. (more...)

The Oregon Shakespeare Festival transports audiences to a ghostly Danish castle, dynastic China, and Oz's Emerald City when its outdoor theatre opens the weekend of June 17-19. The Allen Elizabethan Theatre will feature Hamlet, directed by Lisa Peterson; the classic 1970s musical The Wiz, directed by Robert O'Hara; and The Winter's Tale, directed by Desdemona Chiang. Mirirai Sithole Awarded Classic Stage Company's Rosemarie Tichler Fund Grant

Classic Stage Company has announced that Mirirai Sithole is this year's recipient of the Rosemarie Tichler Fund grant. The Fund was established in 2010 with the mission to assist young actors who have appeared at CSC and who have recently made the transition from their training into the profession. The $3,000 grant can be used by the young artist to continue training or to offset loans they may have incurred while studying their craft. With the grant, CSC hopes to make a difference in the lives of young actors at the start of their careers as well as to heighten awareness in the community to the specific needs of actors.  (more...)
