In London’s Jewish East End during the Bltizkrieg, The Jewish Blitzstein family’s mother owns a pickled herring stall that adjoins the cockney Locke family’s father’s fruit stall. The two are at odds. But the Bltizstein’s son falls in love with the Locke’s daughter (who is blinded during an air raid). Harry Blitzstein deserts the army. And Mrs. Blitzstein is nearly killed in an air raid.

Planning permission has been granted by Newham Council for a 1.150 seat theatre to be built in London's Royal Docks. The event was founded in 2012 and has raised nearly $75,000 for the North Texas Food Bank since its inception. Named as Dallas Observer's best beer festival two years in a row, and Blitz Weekly's best festival, this year's event expects to draw over 8,000 attendees across two days. The festival is one of the Southwest's largest beer events and will feature over 450 beers from more than 100 breweries.
