Children of all ages will learn that "Happiness is" the simple joy of You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown and the familiar characters of the Peanuts gang: good ol' Charlie Brown, long-suffering but ever-lovable; piano-playing Schroeder, aloof and existential; blanket-dependent Linus; Lucy, bossy and dangerous when allowed near a football; Sally, the pouty little pragmatist; the crush-worthy (albeit offstage) Little Red-Headed Girl; and, of course, the huggable, hungry beagle Snoopy.

Ahead of a new Christmas album for 2021, the first song has been released. The song is a mashup, including Happiness (Is Christmas), a reworked song from the musical You're a Good Man Charlie Brown, for which Chenoweth won a Tony Award in 1999. The song is mashed up with Christmas Time Is Here, which was featured in the film A Charlie Brown Christmas.

San Francisco Playhouse announced casting for the Bay Area premiere of Groundhog Day the Musical, the hit Broadway comedy adapted from the timeless Bill Murray film. Danny Rubin, co-writer of the 1993 film, wrote the book, with music and lyrics supplied by Tony-winner Tim Minchin (Matilda). Susi Damilano will direct the Playhouse production, with music direction by Dave Dobrusky and choreography by Nicole Helfer.
