Harlem Stage has made tickets available for its 40th Anniversary Season on Tuesday, September 5, and announced the full lineups for its Uptown Nights music series and the newly launched Uptown Nights Latin Music Series.

 Pittsburgh Public Theater has announced the full cast and creative team of its upcoming world premiere musical Billy Strayhorn: Something to Live For, starring Darius de Haas as legendary jazz composer Billy Strayhorn.

Delightfully charming but also now slightly dated, MTW's expectedly family-friendly, colorfully saturated production is indeed a lovely, mostly entertaining stage recreation of the movie classic. But curiously, at times, the show feels subdued and tamed-down, and in dire need of an extra jolt of energy to match the story’s wildly madcap, campy premise.
