You'll know the second you hear the title if Reina Hardy's Annie Jump and the Library of Heaven is your kind of play. It's the sort of title that immediately imbues cosmic levels of joy and wonder, fills you with light, and promises a journey not to be missed. You'll be delighted to know that Rorschach Theatre's production, a Rolling World Premiere from National New Play Network, delivers on that promise in an adventure that takes you to the very edge of existence and back. Though wide in scope, Hardy's script is a vessel for director Medha Marsten, along with her dynamic cast and crew, to tell an intimate story about the potential that lies in all of us.

NJ native Catherine Ashmore Bradley will be kicking off the new year starring in the classic musical, ANNIE! at the Charleston Performing Arts Center (C-PAC) at the New Citadel Mall Community Stage. Bradley takes on the lead role as 11-year-old 'Little Orphan Annie' starting January 18 through 27.

UK-based producer-duo Kachina have announced that they will be releasing their brand new EP, titled 'Eyes Of March', on the 13th December, via Affectionate Grooves and NexGen Music, and have just shared the title track from this much-anticipated upcoming release, out 15th November. Atlanta's Pinch 'N' Ouch Theatre is having one of its busiest seasons. Most recently presenting Edward Albee's harrowing masterpiece WHO'S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF, only weeks prior to Sam Shepard's Obie Award winning play FOOL FOR LOVE, the electrifying contemporary theatre company has just announced their latest production of Kenneth Lonergan's THIS IS OUR YOUTH, a compassionate living snapshot of the moment between adolescence and adulthood. YOUTH will be directed by the company's Producing Artistic Director Grant McGowen, and will feature Derek Evans, Thien Vuong, and Annie Jacob. It will perform in late November thru December at Pinch 'N' Ouch Theatre, now located in Kirkwood of Atlanta, GA.

Even if you have seen it before, I cannot stress enough how miraculous the current production of ANNIE is at the Hollywood Bowl, directed with creative ingenuity by Michael Arden. Featured in the cast of incredibly talented triple-threat (acting, singing, dancing) performers are Ana Gasteyer as the ruthless headmistress Miss Agatha Hannigan, David Alan Grier as the refined, generous billionaire Oliver 'Daddy' Warbucks, Lea Salonga as his dedicated and caring assistant Grace Farrell, with newcomer Kaylin Hedges as Annie, who won the role over hundreds of other young girls from across the country who submitted video auditions to win role. Miss Hedges is the cornerstone of the production and her soaring, pitch-perfect voice and effervescent stage presence setting the jubilant tone for the entire ensemble.

Quite possibly the most popular family-friendly stage musical of all time, ANNIE---the classic 1977 Tony Award winner for Best Musical based on Harold Gray's 'Little Orphan Annie' comic strip---seems like a no-brainer choice to appear as the annual all-star summer musical at the world-famous Hollywood Bowl. The production is directed by Leonard Foglia and features original music composed and performed by bassist Marcus Shelby who joins Ms. Smith on stage.
