by Jay Irwin - May 9, 2016

But thankfully the folks at Showtunes have done what they do and dusted this one off for a weekend so more people can discover how wonderful it is. (more...)

BWW Review: triangle productions! and Staged! Bring Us a Very Very HEATHERS...THE MUSICAL!
by Krista Garver - Mar 20, 2016

You remember Heathers, right? The 1988 cult classic movie starring Winona Ryder and Christian Slater that gave the high school lexicon such classics as 'What's your damage?' 'That's so very!' and 'F**k me gently with a chainsaw.' (I wasn't allowed to see it, but I had a friend whose mom let us watch anything we wanted.) Well, now it's a musical playing at the Sanctuary at Sandy Plaza courtesy of triangle productions! and Staged! And it's great! (more...)

BWW Review: Annex's PUNY HUMANS Drones on with Not Much to Say
by Jay Irwin - Apr 25, 2016

Slice of life plays, like "Puny Humans" currently playing at Annex Theatre, are difficult at best especially when focusing on one specific sub-culture such as Comic-Con attendees. Unfortunately writers Bret Fetzer and Keiko Green fail at all three of those elements making their 2 hour and 45 minute show (yeah, you heard me) drone on. (more...)
