Doddy's lost; radicalised by US bombs falling too close to home. A trade war between the US and Europe escalates; political pollution, consumer excess, desolation, pills and pints pervade. Security's breaking down - the terrorists have wiped out the governments, but the Hamshanker in the control room's clocking the blonde in the biscuit aisle. Home has become a cynical wasteland where even angels flee. When hope is a cryptic slogan and every move is caught on CCTV, how does anyone find sanctuary amidst the slums?

Through the stench of smoke and feathers, somewhere in a Scotland not far from now, Doddy scavenges for signs, for sense, and the luscious scenery of Brazil.
