Good news! The Broadway blockbuster WICKED has announced that the Live Lottery will return to the Gershwin Theatre for Summer 2022. Broadway’s only in-person lottery will open two and a half hours before each performance begins in the Gershwin Theatre breezeway.

Stephen Schwartz will join Long Island Musical Theatre Festival this year as a guest artist, where the students will put on productions of PIPPIN and GODSPELL

Hennepin Theatre Trust announced today that WICKED, Minneapolis’ most popular musical will return to Minneapolis this summer to kick off the 2022-2023 Bank of America Broadway on Hennepin season Wednesday, July 27 to Sunday, Aug. 28, 2022 at the historic Orpheum Theatre (910 Hennepin Ave., Minneapolis).

Broadway In Chicago has announced tickets for Chicago’s most popular musical, WICKED, will go on sale Monday, May 23, 2022. WICKED will play Broadway In Chicago’s James M. Nederlander Theatre for a limited engagement September 28 - December 4, 2022.

On the red carpet for the SAG Awards, Cynthia Erivo opened up about preparing to work alongside Ariana Grande in the upcoming film adaption of Wicked. Erivo discussed her first time meeting with Grande, starting production on the new film, and the new 'spin' that director Jon M. Chu is putting on the hit musical.

Ariana Grande shared praise for the show's leads, Lindsay Heather Pearce and Brittney Johnson, on her Instagram story, stating, 'You were so very, very brilliant. Thank goodness! This evening Brittney Johnson took her first bow as Glinda in Wicked on Broadway! Ms. Johnson is the first Black actress to assume the iconic role.
