All For One Theater will present The Gift Project, created, performed and music composed by Diana Oh ({my lingerie play}, The Infinite Love Party, My H8 Letter to the Gr8 American Theatre, Clairvoyance), and directed by Oh and Cotz at Symphony Space’s Leonard Nimoy Thalia Theater.

Keen Company's World Premiere of the new comedy This Space Between Us by Peter Gil-Sheridan (The Rafa Play), directed by Keen Artistic Director Jonathan Silverstein, will open on Wednesday March 9th. Performances will continue through April 2nd at Theatre Row, 410 West 42nd Street, between 9th and Dyer Avenues.

The 72nd Annual ACE Eddie Awards presented by American Cinema Editors (ACE) today announced winners LIVE at the Theater at the ACE Hotel recognizing outstanding editing in 14 categories of film, television, and documentaries. In addition to the announcement of winners in competitive categories, Michelle Satter accepted the prestigious ACE Golden Eddie Award - recognizing an artist or company for distinguished achievement in film - on behalf of The Sundance Institute; two-time Oscar® winner and 2021 ACE Eddie nominee Chloe Zhao presented the honor.

Theatre Now, an artist service organization dedicated to supporting musical theatre writers, continues its Industry Q&A series with an online panel discussion on Exploring Culture Without Exploiting Culture March 8th at 6:30pm.

Presenters for the ACE Eddie Awards include Debbie Allen, Andy Garcia, Oscar® winning filmmaker Chloe Zhao, Oscar® nominee Aunjanue Ellis, King Richard director Reinaldo Marcus Green, Oscar® nominee for Summer of Soul Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson,” Danny Strong (Dopesick), Emilio Estevez, Peter Sarsgaard, Tom Blyth (The Gilded Age), and more.

Love, Actually, an evening of music celebrating love in all its forms will appear at Theatre West on March 12th and 19th. The cabaret is directed by Victoria Lavan, musical directed by Paul Cady, produced by Rick Simone-Friedland, and presented by Theatre West Musical Theatre Workshop.

Playwright and screenwriter Lucy Alibar has signed with CAA for representation, Deadline reports. Alibar is best known for her Sundance Grand Jury Prize winning film Beasts of the Southern Wild in 2012.

Queer|Art, New York City’s home for the creative and professional development of LGBTQ+ artists, has announced the upcoming Winter season of Queer|Art|Film, returning in person February 14th – May 9th.

American Cinema Editors announced today the nominations for the 72nd Annual ACE Eddie Awards, recognizing outstanding editing in 14 categories of film, television, and documentaries.

The Eugene O’Neill Theater Center has announced that it will present the 21st Monte Cristo Award to its Founder George C. White.   George’s career includes not only his 37 years as President of the O’Neill and Chairman of its Board of Trustees, but also numerous activities and accomplishments in theater throughout the world.

2022 Sundance Film Festival has announced an update to its 2022 events. Read their full statement.

The Festival will begin Thursday, January 20, 2022 as planned. All eleven days of online programming will proceed, with screening schedule adjustments to account for an online only schedule. Sundance's seven satellite partners will host screenings for their local communities from January 28-30.

Theatre Communications Group, the national organization for theatre, has announced that Senator Amy Klobuchar will deliver the keynote address at Advocacy and Financial Resilience: A TCG Virtual Summit, held on Thursday, October 28th, from 1-4pm ET / 10am-1pm PT. 

The Intensive is designed and led by Moi Santos and includes guidance from experienced creative advisors including Sam Feder, Yance Ford, Tourmaline, and Ro Haber. The selected fellows include Ava Davis, StormMiguel Florez, River Gallo, Carol Grant, Mitchell (MiSha) Owens, and Savannah Ward.

On Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2021, CalArts Center for New Performance (CNP) kicks off Fall 2021 with a world premiere from Alpert Award-winning theater artist Daniel Alexander Jones. Produced by CNP, Jones' new work, ALTAR NO. 1 – ATEN, uses the solar system as both metaphor and method for an immersive journey through the celestial, within and without. The work is intended to, as Jones states, “remember us whole.”
