Adult Swim Greenlights New Series FAIRY TALES

Halloween might be over, but there's always room for more bizarre and morbidly funny animated shows on Adult Swim. The network adds an all-new original series, JJ Villard's Fairy Tales, to its animation slate and renews The Shivering Truth, Lazor Wulf, and the long-awaited return of Mouse Fitzgerald in 12 Oz. Mouse that fans never knew they needed. The new series and seasons will all premiere in 2020.

Adapted from the classic fairy tale by The Brothers Grimm, this festive, interactive winter play runs December 6a?"22 and is written and directed by Axis Artistic Director Randy Sharp (Axis Company's High Noon, Edgar Oliver's Victor). San Francisco Opera presents Engelbert Humperdinck's Hansel and Gretel, November 15–December 7. Last seen on the War Memorial Opera House stage nearly two decades ago, the popular fairy-tale opera returns in an “enchanting” (The Times, UK) new co-production with London's Royal Opera by director and production designer Antony McDonald. Humperdinck's sweeping score will be conducted by Christopher Franklin and sung in English translation by a cast including mezzo-soprano Sasha Cooke as Hansel, Heidi Stober as Gretel and Robert Brubaker as the Witch.

Casting Confirmed For THE SNOW QUEEN At Park Theatre

Casting has been confirmed for Park Theatre's festive family adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen's classic: The Snow Queen. Focusing on the origins of the Queen who brings endless winter, the cast includes: Frances Marshall, Ayesha Casely-Hayford, Esmonde Cole, Sarah-Louise Young, Justin Brett, Paula James and Matt Cavendish. The production is adapted by Charles Way and directed by Abigail Anderson, with a national press night on Friday 6 December, 7pm.
