Musicalfare Theatre presents the regional premiere of THE OTHER JOSH COHEN, running April 20th – May 22nd at MusicalFare Theatre, written by David Rossmer & Steve Rosen, directed by Randall Kramer, and music direction by Theresa Quinn.

Today, Theatre Under The Stars (TUTS) announced the exciting line-up of musicals for its 2022/23 Season featuring a beloved Disney classic and pre-Broadway co-production with Seattle’s 5th Avenue Theatre.

The Griswolds’ Broadway Vacation, The Musical will make its debut this fall at Seattle’s 5th Avenue Theatre from September 10 – October 1, followed by an engagement at Houston’s Theatre Under the Stars from October 25 – November 6 prior to its arrival on Broadway (date and theatre to be announced).   

The Old Globe announced it will present the eighth annual Powers New Voices Festival, a weekend of readings of new American plays by some of the most exciting playwrights writing for the American theatre today.

The six-week limited engagement of Ebenezer Scrooge’s BIG San Diego Christmas Show plays in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Globe’s Conrad Prebys Theatre Center, from November 19 to December 26, with the official opening night on Tuesday, November 23.

This past weekend saw a reading of Broadway Vacation, a new musical based on the Vacation film franchise. The reading featured cast members Hunter Foster, Kerry Butler, Ben Wang, Daniela Rodrigo, Alan H. Green, and Andy Grotelueschen, in roles inspired by the films.

The Old Globe announced today it will resume live and in-person holiday programming this year with the Globe’s productions of the 24th annual Dr. Seuss’s How the Grinch Stole Christmas! and the return of the Dickens mash-up and music-filled comedy Ebenezer Scrooge’s BIG San Diego Christmas Show.

After a record-breaking online summer season, The Muny announced today Muny Holiday Magic. A special four-day holiday video series, Muny Holiday Magic will feature performances from Muny family across the country, including The Muny Kids and Teens.

Barrington Stage Company will premiere a filmed presentation of new musical, The Right Girl, on November 1. The musical was co-written by Louisette Geiss, who accused Harvey Weinstein of sexual harassment.
