The RSC and Good Chance have announced full casting for the world premiere of Kyoto; a major new production which places audiences at the heart of the historic 1997 Kyoto climate summit.

Season highlights include a new Global Voices Music Series celebrating traditions from around the world and a limited engagement with illusionist Scott Silven that will transform the Eldorado Ballroom into an immersive Scottish Victorian dinner theater.

Ahead of her New England tour, which begins May 3 in Northampton, MA, Jenny Owen Youngs shares a live performance video for “Next Time Around” from Avalanche, her first full-length solo album in over a decade and Yep Roc Records debut. Missy Elliott, Grammy-Award-winning hip hop artist, has joined the new musical film from Pharrell Williams and Michel Gondry. Henry joins the previously announced Brian Tyree Henry, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Halle Bailey, and recent Oscar-winner Da’Vine Joy Randolph. Elliott has won four Grammy Awards in her career so far. In 2023, she was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, making her the first female rapper to achieve this honor.

Broadway Alaska, a partnership between The Nederlander Organization and Alaska Center for the performing Arts, has unveiled its 2024/2025 season to begin in December 2024.

RuPaul's Lingo will be returning to TV screens very soon. According to reports, the second season of the popular game show will be premiering on CBS on May 24 from 8 p.m.-10 p.m. ET/PT with two back-to-back episodes. Subsequent episodes will air at that same time each Friday. Paramount+ with Showtime subscribers can also view the episodes, either live or later on demand.

The Critics Choice Association (CCA) have announced the date and honorees for its inaugural Celebration of LGBTQ+ Cinema & Television. Several honorees are Broadway performers, including Nathan Lane, George Takei, and Michaela Jaé Rodriguez. The gala event will be hosted by actress, stand-up comedian, and writer Sherry Cola, a fierce advocate for LGBTQ+ rights and a barrier breaker as a queer Chinese-American immigrant woman in film, television and comedy. 

Brian Tyree Henry, who was nominated for a Tony Award for his role in the revival of Lobby Hero, has joined the new musical film from Pharrell Williams and Michel Gondry. Henry joins the previously announced Kelvin Harrison Jr., Halle Bailey and recent Oscar-winner Da’Vine Joy Randolph. Few plot details about the upcoming film have been released, apart from its setting. It is reported to be set in Virginia Beach during the summer of 1977.

Allison Williams is set to executive produce and star alongside Charlie Day in the murder mystery Kill Me, directed and written by Peter Warren. In the film Jimmy wakes up in a bathtub after having tried to kill himself. Or, at least, that's what it looks like to his friends and family. Jimmy is pretty sure he didn't do it...Maybe. Together with Margot, the 911 operator who took his call, Jimmy sets out on a mission to solve a vitally important whodunit.
