Popejoy Presents and Haverland Carter Broadway in New Mexico have announced the national tour of COME FROM AWAY, a Broadway musical about the true story of the small town that welcomed the world, will open May 11 its Albuquerque debut at Popejoy Hall for a limited engagement May 11 – 15, 2022.

During the first weekend of December, Ucross, the prestigious artist residency program in Sheridan County, will present award-winning composer and performer Steven Lutvak in a free community master class in partnership with Sheridan College and a ticketed Broadway cabaret concert at the WYO Performing Arts & Education Center. A one-night concert version of the Tony-nominated musical Come From Away was performed last Friday on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, September 10, 2021. This free, 100-minute concert was held in honor of the 20th anniversary of 9/11. 

In September 2021, COME FROM AWAY will honor what was lost and commemorate what was found in Gander, Newfoundland 20 years ago and invites audiences to join the show as they reflect, honor and remember.

There will be no tickets required. The public is invited to come as they please, and bring their own blankets and picnics. Tetreault also plans to invite members of the Biden administration and other prominent figures to the performance.

Ucross has announced the opening of a new exhibition in the Ucross Art Gallery, American Memory: Inside Out, which features work by Monica J. Brown, Brittney Denham-Whisonant, and Bill Will. All three artists are alumni of Ucross's prestigious artist residency program. The exhibition will be on view from May 14 through August 27.
