The Met has announced the Week 15 schedule for its Nightly Met Opera Streams, a free series of encore Live in HD presentations streamed on the company website during the coronavirus closure. Highlights include the Met's classic 1991 telecast of Donizetti's L'Elisir d'Amore, with Kathleen Battle and Luciano Pavarotti, John Adams's Doctor Atomic starring Gerald Finley, and Massenet's Manon, with Lisette Oropesa in the title role.

As part of The Metropolitan Opera's (Met Opera) urgent “The Voice Must Be Heard” fundraising campaign to support and protect the future of opera amid the COVID-19, more than 40 leading opera artists and members of the company's brilliant orchestra and chorus performed from their respective homes all around the world. The unprecedented virtual gathering of Met Opera's principal artists, ensemble, and orchestra, billed as At-Home Gala, was streamed live around the world in 162 countries on 25 April 2020, viewed by more than 750,000 global audience members.

Internationally acclaimed French-Sicilian tenor Roberto Alagna appears at the Royal Opera House alongside his wife, Polish soprano Aleksandra Kurzak, as the husband-and-wife actors Canio and Nedda in Pagliacci. Ruggero Leoncavallo's gripping and tragic opera tells the story of what happens when Nedda, weary of her husband Canio's jealousy, begins a love affair. When Canio discovers her betrayal and has to go on stage the same evening to act the part of a cuckolded husband, reality and theatre blur in a frightening way. Pagliacci contains some of Leoncavallo's greatest music, including Nedda's dreamy aria 'Stridono lassù' and Canio's anguished soliloquy 'Vesti la giubba'.
