Penguin Rep Theatre presents the world premiere of FAR FROM THE HOME I LOVE, a concert presentation of the iconic songs from FIDDLER ON THE ROOF as reimagined by bandleader extraordinaire Paul Shapiro with a unique multicultural take.

On the heels of Ann's Streisand Songbook symphonic triumph, this show celebrates the 100th birthday of the trailblazing woman who gave the world “Fever” through six decades of iconic songs from sultry to sizzling.

Meyer will bring his strong vocals and amazing talent to The Palladium, part of The Center for the Performing Arts, in Carmel, IN on March 18, 2022. His international hit show “Remember When Rock Was Young – The Elton John Tribute” will take place at 8 p.m. 

The Bayonne High School Drama Society will present The Wiz, the soulful adaptation of the Frank L. Baum novel, as their spring production. The musical debuted on Broadway in 1975 and won seven Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Best Score, Best Direction and Best Choreography.

Angela Bassett won the Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series Award last night at the NAACP Awards. This marked her 11th NAACP Award. Last night's award was in recognition of her role as Athena Grant on the FOX's  9-1-1. After receiving the award, Bassett spoke to Extra’s Rachel Lindsay.

The Nasher Sculpture Center announces 'SCULPTING SOUND: Twelve Musicians Encounter Bertoia', a series of six historic concerts, from February 22–27, 2022, bringing together twelve master musicians to explore the expressive range of Harry Bertoia's sounding sculptures, in complement to the exhibition Harry Bertoia: Sculpting Mid-Century Modern Life on view at the Nasher January 29 – April 23, 2022. 

This show will include classic love songs, some Ann Hampton Callaway originals as well as songs that honor a few greats we've lost recently- Stephen Sondheim and Marilyn Bergman.
