The National Symphony Orchestra has announced its 2023–2024 season led by Music Director Gianandrea Noseda and incoming Executive Director Jean Davidson.

On Saturday, March 11 at 8pm and Sunday, March 12 at 4pm, the Princeton Symphony Orchestra (PSO) presents the world premiere of composer William Harvey's Seven Decisions of Gandhi. Written for violin and orchestra, the work was dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi's granddaughter Ela on the occasion of her 80th birthday.

Philadelphia Youth Orchestra Music Institute (PYOMI) presents several program divisions of their nationally respected music organization at the 2023 Showcase. The emcee is WRTI 90.1 Radio Host Kevin Gordon.

Dayton Performing Arts Alliance continues its 2022-2023 Masterworks Series with a concert featuring Tchaikovsky's “Polish” Symphony and pianist Spencer Myer who will perform Chopin's Piano Concerto No. 2 in F minor, February 24 and 25 at 7:30 p.m. at the Benjamin and Marian Schuster Performing Arts Center.

Guest artists include 2022 Avery Fisher Career Grant winner, saxophonist Steven Banks, 2022 Grammy Award winners, and more.

The Curtis Symphony Orchestra's 2022–23 season will continue on Sunday, January 29, 2023, at 2 p.m. with “Perry, Tchaikovsky, and Sheng” in Verizon Hall at the Kimmel Center.

Bugs Bunny at the Symphony will join forces with the Las Vegas Philharmonic to bring Looney Tunes nostalgia with its Las Vegas debut at Reynolds Hall at The Smith Center on Jan. 7.

It is hard to believe that Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's first ballet, Swan Lake, created in 1877 for the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow, was a failure, so striking is its music's melodic power. It was not until twenty years later - but Tchaikovsky was already dead - that the ballet was brought to the stage in the choreography of Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov.

The National Ballet of Canada has announced this season’s lineup of Cannon Dolls for The Nutcracker. Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, star of Netflix’s Never Have I Ever and Disney’s Turning Red, will make her debut as a Cannon Doll on the opening night of The Nutcracker, December 10 at 7:00 pm.

Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre (PBT) is offering two sensory-friendly performances of its holiday classic, The Nutcracker, this year.  The relaxed performances will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Fri., Dec. 16 and Tues., Dec. 27. These family-inclusive and sensory-friendly  events are for all audiences, including children and adults with autism spectrum disorder, sensory sensitivities or other individualized needs. 

Olympic Ballet Theatre (OBT) presents the annual production of The Nutcracker, returning to the Everett Performing Arts Center and the Edmonds Center for the Arts this December. 

Symphony San Jose features acclaimed solo artists chosen for their virtuosity and their singular magic on their instrument. With brilliant artistry, Bouriakov adds to the flute's repertory by identifying and transcribing works that will allow it to shine; and he returns this year to perform Tchaikovsky's magnificent Violin Concert – on the flute!

Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre's (PBT) holiday classic, The Nutcracker will take the stage Dec. 9-28 at the Benedum Center. This is the 20th year that Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre will be performing The Nutcracker based on the choreography and concept by former PBT Artistic Director Terrence S. Orr. The annual production also features Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's classic score as well as costume and set designs by Emmy-winning designer Zack Brown.
