Central Works' 2022 season concludes with a new comedy from the Central Works Writers Workshop The Museum Annex written by Mildred Inez Lewis, playing Oct 15 - Nov 13 at the historic  Berkeley City Club, 2315 Durant Avenue, Berkeley. Central Works is committed to premiering new works inspired by social issues, contemporary texts, and history.

Central Works’ opening production of its 2022 season, the comedy Escape from the Asylum by award-winning playwright Patricia Milton, has extended through April 24th (originally scheduled to close April 17). The opening night response to Escape from the Asylum from audiences and the press alike was rollicking.

CENTRAL WORKS begins its 32nd season on Mar 19 with the world premiere of a madcap mystery “Escape From the Asylum” written by Patricia Milton from the Central Works Writers Workshop. New Conservatory Theatre Center has announced the release of world premiere radio comedy, The Law of Attraction, available for streaming October 1 - 31, 2020. Written specifically for the audio format by local sensation Patricia Milton and directed by Nikki Meñez, The Law of Attraction offers a hilarious look at the pressure of perfection and a satirical spin on the self-help industry. 

The Central Works Script Club, is a monthly book club - for plays! For episode #3, the Script Club offering is Bamboozled by the award-winning playwright Patricia Milton. Bamboozled, which will be available to read on the Central Works website (centralworks.org) starting August 4, was developed by Ms. Milton in the Central Works Writers Workshop.

Each month the company takes a play from the Central Works catalog or a new script, makes it available to read, and invites the participants to send in questions for the playwright.

Central Works regrets that Queen Mair, the second production of its 30th anniversary season, has been postponed until 2021. The show was originally scheduled to run May 9 - June 7, 2021 at the Berkeley City Club. Central Works is now planning to present it as the second production of its 31st season.

New Conservatory Theatre Center has announced the line-up for NCTC's 2020-21 subscription season, looking beyond the current closure of local theatres and forward to a healthy future after the COVID-19 crisis.
