Broadway in Detroit has announced that tomorrow's opening night performance, (Tuesday, November 19 at 8:00 PM) of the national tour of HELLO DOLLY! at Detroit's Fisher Theatre has been cancelled due to an unanticipated mechanical issue with one of the touring production's semi-trucks while en route to Detroit.

Dance Lab New York (DLNY) has completed its Lab Cycle in collaboration with The Joyce Theater Foundation supporting female choreographers of color in ballet. Take a look at photos below! Inspired by interviews with undocumented immigrants from Latin America living in New York, En Garde Arts (Anne Hamburger, Founder and Artistic Director) is thrilled to present the world premiere of Fandango for Butterflies (and Coyotes) in all five boroughs of New York City, kicking off on Thursday, February 6 at the historic Ellen Stewart Theatre at La MaMa. The piece will take the form of a fandango, a community celebration where stories are brought to life through live performance, music, and dance.

Dance Lab New York (DLNY) is halfway through its Lab Cycle in collaboration with The Joyce Theater Foundation supporting female choreographers of color in ballet. Over the past two weeks, Amy Hall Garner and Preeti Vasudevan, have been exploring the classical and neoclassical ballet idioms with a company of eight professional dancers, supported by the DLNY Lab Cycle grant in space provided by The Joyce Theater Foundation. DLNY provided each of them with 30 hours of incubation, a stipend, eight paid professional dancers, a rehearsal director, insurances, and administrative support from DLNY staff and Founding Artistic Director, Josh Prince.

Wow wow wow, fellas! 55 years ago, Broadway's legendary original Dolly Levi, Carol Channing, took to the cover of Life Magazine as the matchmaker. Carolee Carmello, who is currently portraying the iconic character on the show's national tour, paid tribute to Channing by reenacting the photo in costume on stage. BroadwayWorld has learned that Jason Gotay has joined New York City Center's Gala Presentation of Evita, November 13 - 24. Gotay will bring to life Che Guevara.

Announcing the cast for the first national tour of the Tony Award-winning Best Musical Revival of Hello, Dolly!, starring Broadway legend, Tony Award winner Betty Buckley. The first national tour of Hello, Dolly! began performances September 30, 2018, in the Connor Palace at Cleveland's Playhouse Square, ahead of their official opening night on October 5, 2018. Additional tour stops include Chicago; Los Angeles; San Francisco; Washington, D.C.; Boston, and many more cities across America.

Put on your Sunday clothes, Oklahoma, and head to the Thelma Gaylord Performing Arts Theatre as Hello, Dolly! plays Oct. 15-20.

Bartolomeo della Gatta's 15th-century panel painting of Saint Roch has been returned to the Museo Horne in Florence following a multifaceted restoration process. The restoration by Valeria Cocchetti and Daniele Ciappi, under the supervision of the Soprintendenza di Firenze, was made possible thanks to donations by Donna Curry, Mary Mochary, and Donato Massaro through the Friends of Florence Foundation.
