Cortney Hall and Matthew Rodrigues of “Chicago Today” on NBC5 will be hosting Award-winning Porchlight Music Theatre fundraising event, the ICONS Gala. The ICONS Gala, chaired by Joe Higgins and Scott Hoesman, will be Friday, Sept. 23 at 5:30 p.m. at The Ritz-Carlton, Chicago.

Award-winning Porchlight Music Theatre has announced this year’s recipient of the ICON Award is one of Broadway’s foremost singing and dancing leading ladies, Tony Award winner Donna McKechnie.

Cape May Stage has announced the 2022 line-up for the annual PNC Arts Alive Broadway Series, a trio of musical tribute performances celebrating beloved singers, influential genres, and Broadway tunes.

The Jimmy Awards have just announced this year’s 92 nominees, coming from 46 high school musical theatre awards competitions across the U.S. The show will feature dynamic ensemble and solo performances and will culminate with the presentation of a Best Performance by an Actress and Best Performance by an Actor award, as well as other honors and scholarships. Winners will be chosen by a panel of industry experts.

Ted Sperling will close the Lyrics & Lyricists 50th anniversary season with “Isn’t It Bliss?” Sondheim on Love on June 18, 19 and 20. With Isn’t It Bliss? Ted explores Sondheim’s perspective on relationships.

Award winning and rave reviewed singer/director Lina Koutrakos will be in Chicago to head up a group teaching/workshop weekend, 'The Midwest Cabaret Conference,' which has been running for the last 10 years, this June.  

Jamie Galen will perform the first act of Tru, Playwright Jay Presson Allen’s adaptation of the works of Truman Capote at Hollywood Fringe Festival 2022 at Three Clubs Stage Room (1123 N. Vine Street Hollywood) on Saturday, June 4th, 11th, 18th 25thand Sunday June 19th at 7:30 pm. Lyrics and Lyricists™ 50th anniversary season will continue with You Send Me: The Song and Soul of Sam Cook on April 23, 24 and 25. Darius de Haas delves into the world of Sam Cooke – his gospel roots and triumphant 1964 engagement at the Copacabana; his classics of romance, and work as a trailblazing entrepreneur and civil rights activist.

THE WITCHES OF EASTWICK has a book and lyrics by John Dempsey and music by Dana P. Rowe, based on the novel by John Updike and the Warner Brothers motion picture. Maria Friedman will direct with musical staging by Stephen Mear. Olivier Award-winning actor Giles Terera will star as Darryl Van Horne.

Guitarist SEAN HARKNESS will release an EP entitled Just What I Needed to coincide with his solo show (with The Unusual Suspects) at NYC’s Birdland on Sunday, March 20.

Barbara Sinatra Children’s Center announces the return of “One Night Only' for the 16th year on November 9, 2022 at the McCallum Theatre produced by Michael Childers with returning director Scott Coulter and music director Todd Schroeder. The theme this year is “New York/New York” in all its glory from Harlem and the Cotton Club to Broadway and 42nd Street to Studio 54.

Lyrics & Lyricists will return to the stage of the 92nd Street Y’s historic Kaufmann Concert Hall for the 50th anniversary season of the country’s preeminent American Songbook series. L&L features artists from theater and beyond presenting original shows with award-winning Broadway and cabaret performers.
